Tea FAQs
How much caffeine is in tea?
Green and oolong tea usually has slightly less than half the amount of caffeine in coffee. However, the amount of leaves you use, the quality of the tea and the amount of time you brew it will also impact the amount of caffeine that is in your cup. If you want less caffeine, use less leaves and brew for less time.
Most people can drink 3-4 cups each day without any negative side effects.
With high quality teas like ours, you can rebrew them 2-3 times. With each brew, there will be less caffeine, as most of it is consumed in the first and second infusion.
How much tea should I drink?
Most research on green and oolong tea suggests that you would want to consume about 3-4 cups per day to get maximum health and fat burning benefits.
Can I drink tea during my pregnancy?
Yes, of course. Many of our customers report that a high quality tea like Ora has helped them maintain energy during their pregnancy and during breastfeeding. While you should watch caffeine intake during this time, a little bit of high quality tea will give you a much needed boost and keep you healthy!
Can I get the same benefits from regular tea?
No – if you want to get health benefits from tea, most other tea just won’t cut it.
Tea from the supermarket and many specialty shops is usually old, low-quality, stale tea that hasn’t been packaged and stored properly. PureBody tea, in contrast, is only purchased in small quantities, is always spring harvest tea (the tea associated with the most health benefits in Asia) and is packaged in special barrier bags to preserve its properties – so it is super fresh when our customers get it. PureBody herbal tea is pharmaceutical grade tea which again ensures you get maximum health benefits.
